Most activities are within walking distance.

• Brass band concerts at the gazebo on the waterfront most Sunday evenings
• The Chester Yacht Club is famous for its regattas
• Tennis, sailing, boat charters, bicycle rentals, sea kayaking or a round of golf at the Chester Golf Club.
• A local ferry runs to Tancook Island, 5 miles offshore several times daily - a great way to spend the day.

Explore the Village

And then there are the restaurants and pubs.

The Rope Loft on the waterfront is a popular watering hole.

Also the Fo’c’sle tavern, Nova Scotia’s oldest rural tavern, down the street from the Inn. It’s a great spot to meet the REAL Chester people.

Rainy day?

There are pottery, art and gift shops within a block. Just down the road is the Mat Lady; a great stop for funky stuff. There is the Chester Playhouse with a fabulous line up of talent. Evening performances run all summer and intermittently throughout the spring and fall.

Drop by the Zoe Valley Library; a perfect haven to escape the weather. Or, head to the Kiwi Café, and enjoy a cappucino and one of their decadent brownies.

Or spend the day at the Inn in front of the fire. Watch a video, read a book, or sharpen your scrabble skills.
